LAARA ONG

Laara Ong is a professional actor having performed in theatres across Canada. She has been nominated for a Jessie Richardson award for her performance in Golden Child and also nominated for an Elizabeth Sterling award for her performance in Mom, Dad, I’m Living with a White Girl. A few of her theatre credits include The Yoko Ono Project, A Season in Purgatory, Yellow Fever, Concubine’s Children, and You Are Here . Besides acting, she was also a regular contributor to the CBC Radio, writing and performing her own anecdotes.

JULIE LEUNG

Julie is delighted to be working on such a beautiful play alongside some wonderful folks. Previous credits include Pornography (part of The Dramatic Works Series at the Fringe Festival), Wild Society (star star theatre), The 4th Graders Present an Unnamed Love-Suicide (Rumble Theatre), and How Should You Be? (Architect Theatre) with the rEvolver Festival. She would like to thank Chris and Lisa for this opportunity. Julie is a graduate of Studio 58.

LISSA NEPTUNO

Lissa is delighted to be acting in and co-producing this production. Some of her favorite credits in theatre include San Diego, Nanay: A Testimonial Play, and 36 Views. On television Lissa can be seen in such shows as Minority Report, Lucifer, and Gracepoint . For her role in Crow, screened at the UBC POV Film Festival, she won a Best Supporting Actress award. She is a graduate of Studio 58, and dedicates this performance to Mrs. Mayede.

LYNDA YEE SHIOYA

Trained as a ballet and tap dancer since age 4, Lynda has appeared in numerous stage, TV and film productions in Canada, the United States and Asia. Drawing on her studies in dramatic arts at the University of Victoria and the University of Hawaii she expanded her horizons to include musical theatre where she shared the stage with Chris in “Pirates of Penzance” and “Flower Drum Song”.Performing in Chinatown brings her back to a familiar neighbourhood where she once taught dance at Strathcona Community Centre.

ANAIS WEST

Anais is an actor, costume designer, and emerging writer. As an actor she has performed in The Children's Hour and 'Tis Pity She's A Whore (Ensemble Theatre Company), Shakespearean Rhapsody (Carousel Theatre for Young People), One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Kosmic Mambo, Tsuyako and The Old Man and The Sea (Studio 58), and August: Osage County (The Arts Club). She has costumed Pornography (star star theatre) for last year's Fringe Festival, and Blithe Spirit (Peninsula Productions). She is currently gearing up to delve into the Playwright's Theatre Centre's playwrighting development program, Block A, and has begun writing a historical novel about hysterical women in 19th century Paris. She is a graduate of Studio 58.
